You can find the elves’ own gelaton factory at Santa’s Visitor Center.
The new Santa’s Visitor Center in Tonttula Elämyskylä hides something truly magical – Santa’s elves’ very own gelato factory! This northern gelato kitchen produces authentic Italian-style gelato daily, delighting visitors with rich flavor and heartwarming stories.
Even when it’s -30°C outside, guests at Tonttula enjoy velvety soft, locally made gelato all year round. Made using traditional Italian techniques, our gelato contains less fat and air – and more flavor and creaminess.
All our gelato is crafted by hand using local ingredients. For example, our forest berry “frutti di bosco” flavor gets its rich taste from wild blueberries picked in Levi. From cloudberries to spruce tips, our selection celebrates the best of the North – and we’re always developing new recipes.
🎅 “Someone has to taste it… you can’t check quality on an empty stomach!”
